Rasepi translates your docs at the paragraph level using DeepL. Change one paragraph, and only that paragraph gets retranslated. Not the whole page. That saves around 94% on translation costs.
You fix a typo on one page and the whole thing gets sent for retranslation. Or worse, someone updates the English version and nobody tells the French team. The translation drifts. Readers in different languages end up reading different information.
Every block of content (paragraph, heading, list item) gets its own ID and a content hash. When something changes, Rasepi knows exactly which block changed and which translations need updating.
Write your doc in whatever language is natural for you. Each paragraph, heading, and list item is automatically assigned a unique block ID.
A SHA-256 hash is calculated for each block's content. This is how Rasepi tracks changes at the most granular level without comparing full text.
When you publish to a new language, each block is sent to DeepL individually. Translations are stored alongside the source with their own block mappings.
Change paragraph 3 of a 50-paragraph doc? Only paragraph 3 gets retranslated. The other 49 stay as they are. The stale flag on that one block tells translators (or the API) exactly what needs attention.
When you only retranslate what actually changed, the numbers add up fast.
Say you have a 50-paragraph onboarding guide translated into 8 languages. You update 3 paragraphs. With full-page translation, that's 50 paragraphs × 8 languages = 400 translation calls. With Rasepi, it's 3 paragraphs × 8 languages = 24 calls.

Translators can change block types per language. English might use bullet points, German might prefer numbered steps. Rasepi tracks the difference.
Deleting a paragraph in the source doesn't break translations. The block is soft-deleted and shows "[Content removed]" in translated versions, keeping everything aligned.
