Rasepi ("we", "us", "our") operates the website rasepi.com and the Rasepi documentation platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Data we collect

2. Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-99RJTHRXS4) which sets first-party cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These cookies do not contain personal information.

  • _ga — distinguishes users. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_* — maintains session state. Expires after 2 years.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC under their Privacy Policy. We have IP anonymisation enabled and do not use the data for advertising.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3. How we use your data

  • To communicate with you about Rasepi (waitlist updates, product news)
  • To respond to contact form enquiries
  • To improve the website based on aggregated analytics
  • To protect our forms from abuse (Cloudflare Turnstile)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Where your data is stored

Form submissions are stored in Cloudflare D1 (Cloudflare's global edge network). Analytics data is processed by Google. Both providers maintain robust security and compliance programmes.

5. Data retention

  • Waitlist & newsletter data: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Contact form messages: Retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Analytics data: Retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default).

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured format
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@rasepi.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

  • Consent: When you submit a form, you consent to us processing the data you provide.
  • Legitimate interest: Website analytics help us improve the product for all users.

8. Third-party services

  • Cloudflare — hosting, edge storage (D1), bot protection (Turnstile)
  • Google Analytics — website analytics
  • Google Fonts — web fonts (no cookies, font files cached locally)

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated server-side and protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Access to stored data is restricted to authorised team members.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
